Core parameters of spraying robot

At present, the degree of automation of Spraying Robots is getting higher and higher, and they are basically fully automatic. If the spraying parameters are not set well before spraying, it will lead to batch of defective products. What are its core parameters.

1. Spray flow

The flow rate of the electrostatic spraying robot is the amount of paint delivered to the rotating cup per unit time, also known as the discharge amount. The flow rate affects the thickness of the paint film. The coating of different colors has different covering ability and different construction film thickness. In the spraying process, each robot has different spraying areas and different flow rates. At the same time, the flow rate is also related to the shape of the object to be sprayed. For cars, the flow rate of the regular five door one cover profile is generally large, while the flow rate of the column, ridge line and corner is small.

2. Shaping air

The gas is ejected from the small holes evenly distributed on the rear side of the spin cup to limit the amplitude of the paint mist (fan width), push the atomized paint mist to the object to be coated, and place the paint mist diffusion and rebound to pollute the spin cup and atomizer. For metallic paint, the spray width will affect the final color effect. If the spray width is inappropriate, zebra stripes or flowers will easily appear. The setting of spraying range is related to the distance between two guns, and the number of times of paint superposition is 3. If the distance between the two guns is 100mm, the spraying range is better controlled to 300mm, so that the paint on the same point can be stacked three times.

3. Rotating speed of rotating cup

The rotating speed of the rotating cup is a key parameter of paint atomization. The centrifugal force generated when the rotating cup rotates at high speed makes the paint atomized very fine (50-100 μ m)。 The smaller the diameter of the paint drop, the better the smoothness of the paint film, the smaller the orange peel effect, and the higher the gloss. The setting of rotation speed is also related to the type of paint. The rotation speed of paint is relatively small, and the rotation speed of intermediate coating and varnish is relatively high. The rotation speed and flow rate are also related. If the flow rate is large, the rotation speed should also be increased to achieve better atomization effect. However, if the rotation speed is too high, the paint sprayed on the object will be dry, which will lead to orange peel problems.

4. High pressure

In electrostatic spraying, the object to be coated is the positive electrode and the rotating cup is the negative electrode. When a high voltage is applied between the two electrodes, strong electric attraction is generated, so that the atomized paint mist particles are transmitted to the surface of the object to be coated. The magnitude of high voltage affects the electrostatic effect, painting rate and film uniformity of electrostatic spraying. The flow rate, rotational speed, molding air and high pressure directly affect the film forming quality, and also affect the utilization rate of paint. In production, it is necessary to adjust the four in one parameters in combination with the characteristics of the paint and the atomizer parameters. The four in one parameters should be comprehensively considered and constantly optimized to achieve the ideal spraying effect.

As long as the above core parameters are set before the spraying robot works, the next work will be very easy.
